I can't even express how busy I've been and we're not even a month into the semester. Between homework, work work, RA work, and recently acquired hair stylist work - I haven't had any time for myself!
But as I sit here listening to Erykah Badu's 'But You Caint Use My Phone' mixtape for the 1,000,000 time this week, it just dawned on me how much I REALLY love Sundays.
I do that from time to time, ya know? Fall in love with a day or a particular time. For example, my favorite time of day is 10:00 am and 10:00 pm. Weird right? But at 10:00 am, I just feel that's the perfect time to head out and grab brunch or run errands, whereas 10:00 pm is perfect for starting a night out.
I'm going off on a tangent, but Sunday's give me a sense of fulfillment. I usually have work on Sunday from 1:30 - 5:00 pm, with duty following from 8:00 pm - 12:00 am. Also, I play "catch up" on Sunday and try to get as much work done from the past week or prep for the upcoming week. Yet, I don't feel rushed, overworked or anything.
With Sunday, I feel a sense of peace and relaxation that the other days don't provide. I don't have a religion so Sunday isn't my Sabbath or anything, but just my day. I love the easiness I feel when I wake up on Sunday morning and just dabble in all of my favorite things. I check out my favorite YouTubers, make my favorite meals, find time to juice or do yoga. I'm literally beaming as I write this because I'm so content.
In other news! I encourage everyone to listen to 'But You Caint Use My Phone', do some yoga and juicing and have a great Sunday like I have already started doing.
