Have you ever just been scrolling through your Instagram feed, or any of your other social media accounts, and recognized that your very own friends, classmates and colleagues are really stepping up in the world? Seriously, there are people who aren't even out of college who are making the most out of life and really pursuing their passion.

I look up to people like this. My admiration for individuals who have an idea of what they want out of life, and work extremely hard to go get it, is through the roof. I could never understand how people could ever be envious of another's accomplishments. Convert your envy to admiration, and I promise you, your whole life will change.

It's our role as young adults to uplift one another and provide support, because who else is going to do it? Adults who are more 'adultier' than we are usually see the work we produce as potential, rather than professional. Which is totally understandable, considering our field of experience is significantly less than those who've been in these areas of expertise longer than we have. But we don't want to be simply praised - acknowledgement, recognition, and distinction; that is what we desire. It's our job to continue to motivate one another so that we can continue to level up and succeed in the end.

It's not a competition - and your time will come. In the meantime, SUPPORT YOUR OWN.
