my friends | Anna d'anae

To say that I'm friends with a rising superstar is bewildering, yet, oddly normal as I tend to have the best relationships with the most creative beings on the planet.

I previously had a written series on this blog called 'Successful Millennials' where I highlighted young creatives and I'd like to continue that under the new guise of 'my friends'.

The first friend I'll be highlighting is Anna D'Anae. Her sensational voice, impeccable range, small frame and big personality all come together to create an artist that is driven and uses her experiences to create music you can vibe to while also feeling sexy and having fun.

In an interview with Anna as she prepares to release her music video for the 'More For You' single, she reflects on how she shot the video in Mexico as a means to distinguish her art from her peers. Her dedication to being herself and owning that in her music is one of the very reasons why I love her so much.

In an exclusive ride through Brooklyn with Anna, I was able to hear her upcoming untitled EP, which will be released later this year. We are in for a TREAT as Anna continues to challenge herself through her writing, performance, style  and delivery on these tracks.

Her blend of R&B, Rap and a dash of Soca + Reggae marries itself in her songs coupled with lyrics that are deeply emotional, while simultaneously being relatable and fun to sing along to thus creating an experience that can only be delivered by the force that is Anna D'Anae.
