Hey, I'm Kayra & I'm a 24 yr. old artist from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands :)
In May of 2018, I received my B.A. in Digital Media and B.S. in T.V/Video Production from the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut.
While attending UNH, I produced and directed The Charger Bulletin News and Politically Charged which developed my interest in becoming a full time Producer.
Since then I've completed internships with the Jerry Springer + Steve Wilkos Show in addition to Lionsgate during the 71st Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.
Following my internship I moved to New York where I wrapped my final internship at Gizmodo Media Group and later became an Associate Producer at Jezebel where I was awarded the opportunity to produce the 'Jezebel Quickies' celebrity series amongst other cool videos.
While working in digital media taught me how to do everything from Pre to Post-production, working in TV was my ultimate goal.
As of February 2019 I moved on to becoming the Development Assistant at MTV + VH1 where I helped the team create ideas out of thin air while learning all things corporate America.
Now, I'm an Associate Producer working with ViacomCBS.
In addition to basic survival, I created ADULTIN' - an award winning digital anthology series that highlights the very niche scenarios millennials face as they transition to adulthood through a scripted & unscripted lens.
I love creating something out of nothing and sharing it here along with my travels around world.
Stay tuned for whatever's coming next!
